Truly a Miracle

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. James 5:13-14

A jetliner carrying more than 100 people crashed as it attempted to land in Libya Wednesday, May 12, 2010, killing everyone on board except for a child.

Afriqiyah Airways said that 104 people were on board flight 771 from Johannesburg to Tripoli. A Libyan security official said the plane had “exploded on landing and totally disintegrated.”

Libyan transport minister Mohamed Zidan said that at least 96 people died in the crash, but confirmed a child had survived. There were no signs of any other survivors.

There were conflicting reports that the child was an eight- or ten-year-old boy from the Netherlands.

"The child is in good condition and is in the hospital undergoing checks," Libya's Transport Minister Mohamed Zidan said. His injuries were not life-threatening.

The president of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek, later said the child's survival was "truly a miracle."

Do you still believe there are miracles today? Jesus has the ability to do the same miracles that He did in the Bible.

Does God always heal and provide miracles? No, but God always wants us to ask in prayer. Praise the Lord that He is still in the miracle working business.

Have a great day and keep moving forward!
