My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you
with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
Several years ago, Michele and Joshua traveled up to North Carolina to visit our family. I stayed home. They were gone for several days and I missed them terribly.
On the day of their return, I went to the airport and waited for them to arrive from their plane. I saw many other people getting off the monorail, all of them
important people. However, I was looking for only two people: my wife and my son. I wasn't really interested in striking up a conversation with someone else. That would be a distraction from the main thing. I was looking for Michele and Joshua. I was eager
for them. And I wanted them to see me looking for them when they came off that airport shuttle.
God desires that we serve Him with an undivided heart.
Can you say,
“God — it's all about You. My heart is undivided toward you.”
“I'm not concerned about what people think or don't think.”
“I'm not concerned about how I look, how I come across or how I am perceived.”
“I'm not going to get distracted by some other thought -- how I'm feeling, what I want for lunch, whether I'm hot or cold, even the real
concerns of my life. They all pale in significance compared to You.”
“You are my God and I will praise you.”
If you can, remember the grace of God that has enabled you to do so.
If you cannot, turn to Him and confess to Him your weakness. Like the man in Mark 9:24 who cried out, “I believe; help my unbelief!” Humility precedes total devotion!
Have a great day, and keep moving forward!
