“Incline Your ear to me; rescue me speedily! Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me! For You are my rock and my fortress; and for Your name's sake You lead me and guide me; You take me out of the net they have hidden for me, for You are my refuge.” Psalm 31:2-4
A ship was wrecked in a furious storm. The lone survivor was a little boy who had been swept by the waves onto a rock, where he stayed until he was spotted and rescued.
"Did you tremble while you were on the rock during the night?" someone later asked him.
"Yes," said the boy. "I trembled all night, but the rock didn't."
Jesus is our Rock! The ground may quake. The seas may churn. Blizzards may blow in. Whirlwinds may twist and swirl. But Jesus, our Rock will not be moved. Jesus will never change. And He will reign as King of kings forevermore.
What storm is blowing against you today? Praise God that you are secure, safe, and protected for all eternity because you stand upon the Rock! Jesus alone is our Rock and Refuge.
Have a great day, and keep moving forward!
