Just What You're Looking For

He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, (John 1:11-12)

Here’s a sort of strange experiment you can try that will teach you about your focus and attention:

Wherever you are, look around and identify five things that are of the color blue.  When you’re looking for “blue,” it jumps out: a book, a car, a carpet, a piece of clothing.

Have you ever noticed that when you get a new car, you begin to see others like it everywhere you go?

Why?  We tend to find what we’re looking for.

When Jesus came to earth, many people didn’t recognize Him as God because He wasn’t exactly what they were looking for.

Jesus, God’s Son, is omnipresent – present everywhere.  But to see Him, you have to be looking for the signs of His presence.

Today, look for His activity in your life and follow His leadership.

Have a great day and keep moving forward!
