George, age 92 and Jane, age 89, go for a stroll to discuss their plans and on the way they pass a drugstore. The elderly couple enters the store where George asks
to speak to the owner.
"Do you sell heart medication?" George asks him.
"Of course we do," the owner replies.
"How about support hose to help with poor circulation?"
"What about medicine for rheumatism, osteoporosis, and arthritis?" George continues.
"All kinds," says the owner with confidence.
George asks, "Hearing aid and denture supplies, and reading glasses?"
"What about eye drops, sleeping pills, Geritol and Ensure?"
"Do you sell wheelchairs, walkers and canes?"
"All kinds and sizes," the owner replies. "But why all these questions?"
Jane smiles proudly and announces, "We're getting married and we'd like to use your store as our bridal registry."
The moral of that story is: It's never too late to get prepared!
The city of Jerusalem needed to be rebuilt. Nehemiah prepared for that task with prayer.
Are there areas in your life that need to be rebuilt? Remember that prayer is the foundation for beginning to rebuild. God wants prayer
to permeate and saturate your life.
