Amazing Things

And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

Exodus 14:13-14

Kyle’s mother asked what he had learned at Sunday school.

“Well, Mom, our teacher told us how Moses went behind enemy lines on a mission to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. He got to the Red Sea. He had engineers build a pontoon bridge and all the people walked across safely. He used his walkie-talkie to radio headquarters for reinforcements. Bombers blew up the bridge and all the Israelites were saved.”

“Kyle, is that really what your teacher taught you?” his mother asked.

“No,” he said. “But if I told it the way the teacher did, you’d never believe it!”

Has it been awhile since you read the amazing miracles God did for the Israelites? Sometimes we think this story is for the children and we don’t need to read it anymore. Every part of the Bible speaks to you if you allow God to use it in your life. Maybe, we need to get back to that child-like faith when we see the amazing things God did in the Bible. We need to ask God to give us that child awe when we read His Word.

The Bible says that God is able to do exceedingly above and beyond all that we could ever ask or think. Claim those amazing things as you call on Him in prayer today.

Have a great day and keep moving forward!
